Who Are The Patients Being Helped By

Knee Pain expert Benjamin Yu?

Torn your ACL or struggling with chronic knee pain? Our approach at LPI is different. For athletes with ACL injuries, we address the high re-tear rate by focusing on human asymmetry, restoring strength, and building confidence to get you back in the game safely. For those with chronic knee pain, we look beyond the knee itself, treating the body as an integrated system to find the root cause of your pain and deliver lasting relief.

Who Does Benjamin Yu Help?

I’ve worked with thousands of people dealing with knee pain, and over the years I’ve distilled our focus into two main categories.

The first group are those who have suffered ACL injuries – athletes at every level, from professionals to recreational players. A major problem in the rehab industry is that despite advancements in surgical technology, biomechanics, and rehab protocols, there is still an extremely high re-tear rate, close to 20%. That tells me something is fundamentally wrong with the way ACL injuries are being treated, particularly when it comes to returning athletes back to sport.

At LPI, we focus on solving those problems. We help athletes understand human asymmetry – the reality that the body isn’t symmetrical, and the right and left sides shouldn’t be treated the same. By applying this understanding, we’re able to guide athletes through recovery in a way that restores strength, builds confidence, and significantly reduces the risk of re-injury.

The second group we focus on are the weekend warriors – people with chronic knee pain who’ve been through it all. They’ve seen multiple physical therapists, chiropractors, orthopedists, had injections, tried PRP, and still live with pain. Again, the problem is in the approach. Looking only at the knee doesn’t provide the full picture.

The knee is often just a local symptom of larger systemic issues. The way the rib cage works on the right and left sides, the positioning of the pelvis, and the mechanics of the foot and ankle all influence how the knee functions. By treating the body as an integrated system, we get results where others fall short.

"the ACL Club were a saving grace. They helped me become a stronger version of myself, and I'm so grateful for their guidance."

As a lifelong dancer, a full ACL tear was devastating. But with Bryant and the ACL Club, I became a stronger version of myself. Bryant was there for every step of my journey, cheering me on during small victories like running again and even during tough times. With his guidance, I felt like I always had someone in my corner. The entire LPI staff wanted to see me succeed and return to dancing with my whole heart again. I was so grateful for the ACL Club and would 100% recommend them to anyone with a tough injury.

"After months of knee pain, working with the team at lPI physical therapy was a saving grace. They helped me regain strength and confidence, and I'm finally getting back to my active life."

Working with Bryant was a great experience. He helped me understand my body and what I needed to do to optimize my workouts and recovery. The training was incredibly thorough, and I learned so much about my body that I would have never learned otherwise. Compared to other PT clinics, their approach was much more in-depth , and the process showed real value. They even showed me statistics to prove how I was improving.

"LPI Physical Therapy's work was a saving grace. they helped me regain strength after months of pain, and I'm finally on my way to getting back to an active life, pain-free."

My experience with Bryant and the ACL Club at Longevity & Performance Institute has been nothing but excellent! I had been dealing with daily knee pain and discomfort and couldn’t walk down the stairs properly even 7 months post ACL surgery. Within the first consultation session Bryant was able to relieve me of some constant lingering pain and tightness that I had just written off as something I have to get used to living with. After that session I was actually mad that I had been living with that pain and wished I had met Bryant earlier in my recovery. His attention to detail and focus on me and my specific needs has again and again proven to be exactly what I need and has been a saving grace to help me get back to normal and pain free.

My main reason for looking into the ACL club at LPI was originally because I felt like I had been plateauing and couldn’t get my strength up in numbers in strength tests as well as in my daily life. I am not medically educated or a fitness expert so I honestly needed someone to tell me exactly what I need to do at the gym and how I could do them safely. While yes, Bryant did exactly that with a curated weekly workout plan and walking through all new exercises to make sure I did them properly and safely. But he also gave me the tools and confidence to actively combat my daily pain, significantly increase my lacking strength in a short amount of time, and showed me traumatic injury and surgery doesn’t mean I need to live in constant discomfort.

Bryant focused on me and not a specific timeline and worked with what my body could handle all while catering to my specific pain points and goals. I assumed ACL club would be some generic plan but was proven wrong with the multiple weekly check ins, numerous video analysis and demonstrations, and how he listened to me and incorporated how I currently live and want to live into his plans.

I’m still in recovery and I know I have a long way to go. But I’m confident I’ll get there soon with Bryant and LPI. I highly recommend the team at LPI and am grateful for them because I can finally envision myself getting back to my normal and active life.
